I am evaluating some options for deploying some nice Supply Chain Dashboards for one of my customers. From SAP and elsewhere too.
I was keen on knowing your personal (bad and good) experience and that of your end users on Supply Chain Performance Metrics based on SAP Business Objects. How visually rich is this ? How readable ? How fast ? No HANA now.
Secondly I shall also appreciate a contrast of SCPM with something like SC Control Tower that I hear here and there everywhere but didn't get to lay my hands on. In theory the metrics shown in 'pre-built' dashboards of SCPM (on help.com) sounds like just about everything that users and managers need to know if they care less but I am not sure of visual appeal and pitfalls on either of these tools.
Please guide from the point of view of an external consultant and also as an end user.
Edited: If this helps to state the data sources are entirely on SAP.. ECC, APO, CRM, SRM... whatever BW/ BO needs but there isn't enough time and money to throw to develop one on my own.. not the visuals and layouts that will be a 1 year affair.
Also keen to know How is SAP EPM different from SAP BO when it comes to licensing Supply Chain Performance Metrics. EPM sounds like a bundle of products otherwise licensed separately or is that a box in itself?
